Aranya
2 October 2021
YUVA club of REC organized the event, Aranya, which served as a remarkable platform to highlight the importance of sustainable development and the significance of planting trees. The event aimed to inspire individuals to lead sustainable lives by distributing plant saplings and innovative handmade paper pens. Notably, these pens possessed a unique feature - they could be sown into the ground after use, allowing them to give life to new plants. On October 2nd 2021, Aranya brought together a diverse group of attendees who received free saplings and seed pens until the stocks were depleted. The event took place at the Alandur Metro Station from 10 am to 1 pm, creating an atmosphere of homage and appreciation for the father of our nation. By planting the saplings and sowing the seed pens, attendees embraced Mahatma Gandhi's vision and contributed to the growth and renewal of the environment. The event successfully promoted the idea of sustainability and emphasized the transformative power of individual actions. This event surely stands as a testament to the collective commitment towards a sustainable and eco-friendly world, inspired by the enduring legacy of Mahatma Gandhi.
